The nasolabial folds , commonly known as "smile lines" or "laugh lines", are facial features. They are two folds of skin that flow from each side of the nose to the corner of the mouth. They are defined by a facial structure that supports a buccal fat pad. They separate the cheeks from the upper lip. This term is derived from Latin nasus for "nose" and labium for "lips".
