The Plymouth Theater (1911-1957) from Boston, Massachusetts, is located on Stuart Street in the Boston Theater District today. Architect Clarence Blackall designed the building for Liebler & amp; The players include Henry Jewett, Bill "Bojangles" Robinson, Sammy Davis, Jr., and 8-year-old Bette Davis. In October 1911, the Abbey Theater tour featured the Playboy of the Western World in Plymouth; Among the audience were W. B. Yeats, Isabella Stewart Gardner, and Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy.
"The Shubert Organization of New York purchased Plymouth in 1927 and used it mostly for play trials to New York or touring, and for some long-term performances." In 1957 the building became the Gary Theater.
