Billy Wayne Blanks (born September 1, 1955) is an American fitness teacher, martial artist, actor, and creator of Tae Bo's training program.

Early life and education
Empty was born in Erie, Pennsylvania, the fourth child of fifteen children.
Empty began his studies on martial arts at the age of eleven, attending Karate and Taekwondo classes. She was born with an anomaly in her hip joint that disrupted her movement. The resulting oddity caused a mockery of Blanks' siblings and led his instructor to believe that he would never achieve much. Blanks finds the answer to these challenges in karate. When he saw Bruce Lee on TV, he decided he wanted to become a martial arts world champion, who helped fight a hip anomaly.

Careers
Empty was hired as bodyguard for lead actress Catherine Bach during the 1988 film's Driving Force , which was filmed in Manila during a period of political unrest. Empty impressed the manufacturer and written into the script in a supporting role. This led to Blank's work in several martial arts films, including the King of the Kickboxers and the first Bloodfist . Perhaps her best known role for mainstreaming the audience is in Tony Scott's opening scene The Last Boy Scout, where she plays a cursed pro-football player. Blanks also appeared as a kickboxing instructor for Ashley Judd's character on Kiss the Girls.
In the late 1980s, Blanks developed Tae Bo practice, while running a karate studio in Quincy, Massachusetts. He uses martial arts components and boxing training. This name is derived from tae kwondo and bo xing. Blank opens a fitness center in Los Angeles to teach her new practice. He then attracted several celebrity clients such as Paula Abdul, and the popularity of the exercise quickly grew, becoming a pop culture phenomenon after Blank began releasing mass-marketed videos. He sold more than 1.5 million VHS tapes in his first year, and is reported to have made a profit of between $ 80 million and $ 130 million in sales.
Personal life
Blanks is a Christian and released a special line of Tae Bo practice called the "Believer" series that includes motivational prayers and other Christian components. He has appeared on the TBN Christian TV network.
In 1974, Blank married Gayle H. Godfrey, whom he met in a karate class. Shortly after marriage, he adopted Gayle's daughter, Shellie, who was born in 1973. Shellie Blanks Cimarosti, a martial artist, is clearly featured in many Tae Bo videos. Shellie has also created her own video called Tae Bo Postnatal Power , and hosted her new Tae Bo T3 (Total Transformation Training) infomercial. Gayle and Blanks also have a son, Billy Blanks, Jr., who works as a dancer, singer, and fitness instructor. Blanks Jr. producing some of the best-selling DVDs, including Cardioke and Fat Burning Hip Hop Mix . She also starred in a musical touring production Fame , and has worked as a dancer in a music video with Madonna, Quincy Jones and Paula Abdul.
Empty and Godfrey divorced in 2008 after 33 years of marriage. Godfrey filed for divorce, citing irreconcilable differences.
In November 2008, Blanks became the father of a new daughter, named Angelika. The mother is Tomoko Sato, whom Koss met in 2007 and who works as a translator in Japan. Blank and Sato's wedding was officially registered in January 2009 and their wedding ceremony was held on June 20, 2009. She moved to Japan in 2009. She also adopted two daughters Sato, Marriett and Erika Peterson.
