Deadpool ( Wade Winston Wilson ) is a fictional character that appears in an American comic book published by Marvel Comics. Created by writer Fabian Nicieza and artist/writer Rob Liefeld, the character first appeared on The New Mutants # 98 (cover-dated February 1991). Initially Deadpool was portrayed as a supervillain when he made his first appearance on The New Mutants and later in the X-Force problem, but later evolved into a more well-known antiheroic persona. Deadpool, whose real name is Wade Wilson, is a defective assassin and assassin and deeply troubled by the superhuman abilities of accelerated healing factors and physical strength. This character is known as "Merc by Mouth" because of its tendency to joke constantly, including its tendency to break the fourth wall, a literary device used by writers for fun effects and running jokes.

The popularity of the characters has made it appear in many other forms of media. In series 2004 Cable & amp; Deadpool , he refers to his scarred appearance as "Ryan Reynolds crossed with Shar-Pei". Reynolds himself will eventually play the characters in the X-Men movie series, appearing on X-Men Origins: Wolverine (2009) , Deadpool (2016) , and its sequel Deadpool 2 (2018).

Publishing history

1990s

Created by artist/writer Rob Liefeld and writer Fabian Nicieza, Deadpool made his first appearance on the cover of The New Mutants # 98 dated February 1991. According to Nicieza, Liefeld came up with the character's visual design and name, and Nicieza herself comes with the character's speech behavior. Liefeld, a comic book fan of Teen Titans, showed his new character to the writer-then Fabian Nicieza. After seeing the costume and noting its characteristics (killer with super agility), Nicieza contacts Liefeld, saying "this is Deathstroke from Teen Titans". Nicieza gave Deadpool the original name "Wade Wilson" as a joke on the inside for "related" with "Slade Wilson", Deathstroke.

Other inspirations are Spider-Man and Wolverine. Liefeld stated: "Wolverine and Spider-Man are two properties that always compete with me I do not have it I do not have access to it I have to make Spider-Man and Wolverine myself That's what Cable and Deadpool, Spider-Man and My own Wolverine. "Both Deadpool and Cable must also be tied into Wolverine's history from the beginning, as Liefeld explains:" Wolverine is my man, and if I can tie anything to Wolverine, I win. " Liefeld's favorite comic strip before X-Men is Avengers , featuring weapons such as the Captain America shield, Thor's hammer and bow and Hawkeye arrows, he decided to ignite his new character as well.

In his first appearance, Deadpool was hired by Tolliver to attack Cable and New Mutants. After appearing on X-Force as a recurring character, Deadpool starts making guest appearances in a number of different Marvel Comics titles such as The Avengers , Daredevil , and Heroes for Hire . In 1993, the character received his own miniseries, titled The Circle Chase , written by Fabian Nicieza and written by Joe Madureira. It was a relative success and Deadpool starred in a second self-titled miniseries written in 1994 by Mark Waid, written by Ian Churchill, and written by Jason Temujin Minor and Bud LaRosa. Waid then commented, "Frankly, if I knew Deadpool was such a bastard when I agreed to write a mini-series, I would not do it." Someone who did not pay for their crime posed a problem to me.

In 1997, Deadpool was given its own ongoing title, originally written by Joe Kelly, with newcomer Ed McGuinness as an artist. Deadpool became a parody comedy of the cosmic drama, the heavy-comic antihero at the time. The series firmly confirmed the supporting cast, including his inmate/mother, Blind Al, and his best friend, Weasel. The ongoing series gained the popularity of cult for unorthodox main characters and the balance of anxiety and pop culture slapsticks and characters became less than criminals, although the element of moral ambiguity remained. Author Joe Kelly noted, "With Deadpool, we can do whatever we want because everyone just expects the book to be canceled every five seconds, so nobody is paying attention, and we can get away with it." Reportedly Kelly introduced a breakthrough on the fourth wall.

The series was taken over by Christopher Priest who noted that he regarded Kelly's issues as "complicated and a little hostile to new readers like me" and with problem 37, he realized that "it's okay to make Deadpool look stupid." Kelly may have introduced Deadpool to break the fourth wall, but Priest "can be credited for building it as an essential part of the character's personality and worldview." The priest left the series after just one year in issue # 45.

2000s

For the time being, the following authors generally ignored the fourth wall completely, until Gail Simone took over the # 65 edition. Her versions were remembered for her frequent use of the "little yellow box." Deadpool lasted until edition # 69, at that time it was relaunched as a new title with the same character called Agen X in 2002. This happens during the outline change of X -Men associated with comics, with Cable being Soldier X and X-Force being X-Statix <â € < . Simone notes that "When I took the Deadpool job, the reshuffle was not planned, so it was a surprise, and fortunately we heard about it in time to make adjustments to the original script." It appears that Deadpool was killed in an explosion against Black Swan supervillain. The Deadpool manager, Sandi Brandenberg later founded Agency X with a mysterious man named Alex Hayden, who took the name dubbed Agen X. Deadpool then returned to the series. Simone left the title after seven problems due to creative differences with the series editor, but then returned to conclude with 13-15 issues.

The next appearance in Deadpool came in 2004 with the launch of Cable & amp; Deadpool was written by Fabian Nicieza, in which Deadpool became partnered with his former enemy, Cable, joining various adventures. The title was canceled with edition # 50 and replaced by a new series of Cable in March 2008. Deadpool then appeared briefly in the title of Wolverine: Origins by author Daniel Way before Way and Paco Medina launched title of Deadpool in September 2008. Medina is the main serial artist, with Carlo Barberi filling in the first edition after the "Secret Invasion" tie-in.

A continuous new series of Deadpool written by Daniel Way with artist Paco Medina begins as a Secret Invasion tie-in. In the first arc, characters are seen working with Nick Fury to steal data on how to kill Skrull Veranke's queen. Norman Osborn steals information that has been stolen by Deadpool from Skrulls, and the next story relates to his downfall. Writer Daniel Way explains, "The first thing Osborn did to try and take care of the situation was to bring a rented gun to drop Deadpool, which would be Tiger-Shark.That is the standard thing to do, but of course everything about Deadpool is not standard. So it's all wrong and Norman must be more serious in many ways. "The story also sees the return of Bob, Agent HYDRA; "I do not want the book to be 'Deadpool and Friends' so the characters will float in and out, but Bob is someone I'm sure I want to bring. It's just at the right moment and when I put this story together together it comes with "This all leads directly to a confrontation with the new Thunderbolt in" Magnum Opus "which crosses between Deadpool vol. 2 # 8-9 and Thunderbolts # 130-131. Thunderbolts author Andy Diggle said, "this is a natural development for Deadpool to go after Norman, and for Norman to post his personal-squad hit after Deadpool." At Deadpool 15, Deadpool decides to become a hero that leads to conflict with the right hero like Spider-Man (whom he has just met at The Amazing Spider-Man # 611 as part of "The Gauntlet") and leads to a 3-issue arc in which he picked up Hit-Monkey, a character who debuted in the same month in digital, then scored, one-shot.

Another Deadpool series in progress, <<> Deadpool: Merc with a Mouth was launched in July 2009, written by Victor Gischler, with artwork by Bong Dazo. Inside is a Deadpool team with Headpool from Marvel Zombies 3 and 4 .

A special anniversary edition titled Deadpool # 900 was released in October 2009. It featured stories written by several authors, with the main feature written by the author of the original series Deadpool Joe Kelly and drawn by the creator of Deadpool, Rob Liefeld. A series Deadpool three ongoing, Deadpool Team-Up , was launched in November 2009 (the number is calculated using inverse starting with issue # 899), written by Fred Van Lente, with art by Dalibor Talajic. This series features Deadpool who collaborates with different heroes of the Marvel Universe in every issue, such as Hercules. Deadpool also joins players from the new Uncanny X-Force team.

2010s

Another Deadpool series by Gischler titled Deadpool Corps was released in April 2010. In addition to Deadpool itself, the series features an alternative version of Deadpool, including Lady Deadpool (who debuted at # 7), Headpool (Marvel Zombies' incarnation scene), now reduced to a truncated head), and two new characters; Kidpool, a child, and Dogpool, a dog. The series lasted twelve issues.

Marvel also published the title Deadpool through Marvel Knights and MAX imprints: Deadpool: Wade Wilson War , by Duane Swierczynski and Jason Pearson, and Deadpool MAX David Lapham and Kyle Baker.

Deadpool (volume 2) was written by Daniel Way and drawn by AlÃÆ'Â © Garza. In the story arc "OFF", Wade "healed" of his healing abilities and became mortal. As a side effect, he also has an old face and not pointy once again. Although he spent most of the story to anticipate death, he suppressed his desire to protect his friend and best friend, Hydra Bob.

After he lost his healing factor, Wilson claimed he felt "more alive than ever." However, after the intense beating of Intelligencia, Wade realized that he had allowed his ability to heal skills compensation so he decided to ask for help from the Task Force in the training. The task force asked Wilson to help him steal the Pym Particle from S.H.I.E.L.D., but actually, he allowed the Black Box to study Wade to prepare his retaliation against Wilson, even letting him know Deadpool lost his healing factor.

Wade managed to beat Black Box, Black Tom and Black Swan, but in the process, his face was burned and damaged again. Former FBI agent Allison Kemp wants to take revenge on Deadpool for his involvement in the accident that makes him in a wheelchair, and he calls in other Deadpool enemies like T-Ray and Slayback and trains them to kill Deadpool. Deadpool infiltrated their headquarters and managed to get T-Ray and Slayback killed when Kemp was about to kill himself in an explosion that would kill Wade in the process, he assured him not to attack him. At that moment, he is shocked by the returning Evil Deadpool, who tells Wade that the serum they are taking is not permanent, the reason why Wade's face is not healed or the missing finger behind him grows back, so Wade will return after Evil Deadpool shot him. Deadpool series Daniel Way concludes with edition 63.

As part of Marvel's Marvel NOW! new series of sustainable Deadpool initiatives launched, written by Brian Posehn and Gerry Duggan and illustrated by Tony Moore. He is also a member of Thunderbolt. In the 27th edition of his new series, as part of "All-New Marvel NOW!", Deadpool married for the third time. Initially a secret, his bride was revealed on webcomic Deadpool: The Gauntlet to become Shiklah, Queen of the Undead. Deadpool also finds out that he has a daughter by the name of Eleanor from the Deadpool fire named Carmelita.

During the "Sin Asli" incident, it was revealed that Deadpool was deceived to kill his parents by a scientist known as Butler (who kidnapped Eleanor and handed it over to his brother), but Deadpool did not know it.

Many later, he clashed with Carnage, believing that the universe said to defeat him. After several fights and tears, Deadpool Bonds with four symbiosis are Mercury, Phage, Riot, Lasher, and Agony. Playing mind games, Deadpool tricked Shriek by using his unchangeable abilities to make him confused and escape. After Deadpool and Symbiotic Carnage fought again, Deadpool captured Shriek and forced him to imitate himself, making him cheat Carnage until nearly killing him in the process. Feeling crushed after mental disorders, Carnage allowed himself to be arrested and placed in an unlocked cell. While sitting in the cell to himself, Carnage vowed revenge on Deadpool. Deadpool, after defeating the Carnage, gave the Mercury Team symbiote to Lasher (war dogs who helped Deadpool against the Carnage while also bound by the symbiote) to hand over them to the government.

During the "AXIS" storyline, Deadpool appears as an unnamed member of the supervillain group in the fight against Red Skull's Red Onslaught. The criminal group becomes inverted to heroes, after a spell cast by Scarlet Witch and Doctor Doom. The group was later named the Awesome Avengers. This Deadpool, referred to as "Zenpool" is very important in changing the Apocalypse to fight the Avengers Reversed.

Deadpool's death occurred at Deadpool 250, which involves the idea of a story written by coweer Gerry Duggan and Brian Posehn since the beginning of the series NOW. Issue # 250 technically takes # 45, but so named because it is a cumulative 250 edition of the character solo series. Deadpool faces the final fight with ULTIMATUM and Flag-Smasher, killing them all, and handing the identity of "Deadpool", hoping to have a better life. He, along with his family and friends, ( and probably everyone on Earth ) were all killed when the Earth collided with the alternate Earth universe. Deadpool deplored that the Secret War should remain at an Avengers show, but then die peacefully, satisfied that everyone is dying with it.

All New, All Marvel Different

Eight months after the events of Secret War and recovery of the Earth, Deadpool is seen working for Steve Rogers. After stealing some potentially life-saving chemicals needed by ailing Rogue, he was offered membership in the Unity Avengers Skad.

In the course of the following months, the popularity of Deadpool skyrocketed after the Solo mercenaries disguised him for backing up on the reputation of Deadpool and taking a job with higher wage rates. One of Solo's work in Washington, D.C. making Deadpool's public opinion drastically changed for the better when he saved an ambassador from his telepathically manipulated agents. After learning of Solo's impersonation, Deadpool came up with the idea of forming a group of mercenaries called Mercs for Money to expand its reach across the globe. However, the newfound popularity of Deadpool forced him to leave his family behind, fearing his enemies could harm them. Deadpool also joins the Avengers Unity Division and uses its popularity as a means of team funding, with the advantage of merchandise.

Madcap also returns to the life of Deadpool, though Wade does not realize his experience in his mind, leaving Madcap emotionally damaged and vengeful. Madcap initially pretended to be an ally, joined the Mercs for Money, but eventually showed his true intentions after he was found imitating Deadpool to defame and threaten his beloved troops. Because he is having enough fun, Madcap uses an alien weapon to destroy him molecularly. For his second coming, the villain had Deadpool unwittingly become a deadly airborne virus carrier with which he infected his family. Wade luckily found a cure, though had to use Stryfe Cable's clone cable to find it. Around this time, the tension between the Shiklah domain and surface words triggered the Mahattan invasion of the Metropolis Monster, which in turn caused Shiklah to divorce Deadpool, opting to return to Dracula instead.

Shortly after Wade joined the Avengers Unity Division, Steve Rogers was in fact secretly supersed by his evil fascist counterpart from another time line who operated as Hydra's sleeping agent in the super hero community. When Phil Coulson became suspicious of Steve, Rogers convinced Deadpool to kill him, claiming that Coulson had become naughty. Shortly afterwards, the American Captain's tactics resulted in Hydra rising to power, taking over the United States. When the conquest of Hydra had just begun, Preston found out about Coulson's death, and faced Deadpool about it. The fight ended with the death of Preston. As the Hydra empire grew stronger, Wade joined their own version of Avengers from blind allegiance to Captain America. Plagued by guilt, Wade refrained from being tasked with pursuing a rebel alliance known as Underground, and ultimately helped, behind the scenes, to be part of the foundation of Hydra's defeat. With his mistakes that cost the lives of his two friends, his daughter's love, and the respect the world has for him, Deadpool has his back to the few remaining lives he has built.

Marvel Legacy and Fresh Start

Since many heroes and criminals are both hunting for Deadpool's head, Deadpool must finish his reconciliation, he can still recover, such as insulting Hydra Supreme Rogers in prison, and asking the now-returned American Captain to revive Preston. After his coronation is complete, Deadpool begins to erase any good memories that inadvertently make it worse, to restart his new life and have his criminal record to harmonize with Hydra made clear. Although Deadpool erased his memory, the original Captain America managed to recover a picture of himself, Deadpool and Wolverine from Deadpool's pocket, the only remaining part that Deadpool can remember.

Fictional character biography

The background story of this character has been presented as vague and mutable, and in his narrative he can not recall his personal history because of his mental state. Whether or not his name is even Wade Wilson is subject to speculation because one of his nemes, T-Ray, claimed in <33> Deadpool <33> that he is the original Wade Wilson and that Deadpool is a ferocious assassin who steals his identity. There are many other dubious stories about its history - at one point, the remarkable Loki claimed to be his father. Often, revelations are then retconned or ignored altogether, and in one case, Deadpool himself jokes that whether he really is Wade Wilson depends on which author the reader likes.

He claims to be Canadian. The original story led him to join the Weapon X program after being expelled from the US Army Special Forces and was given an artificial healing factor based on Wolverine's thanks to Dr. Emrys Killebrew, one of the chief scientists.

Characterization

Personality

Deadpool is aware that he is a fictional comic book character. He usually broke the fourth wall, which was done by several other characters in the Marvel Universe, and this was used for funny effects. He often had conversations with his two internal monologues, displayed as a box on his panel; in Deadpool Annual # 1 (2014) it was revealed that Madcap, the enemy of Captain America, is a psychotic voice that appears in white text with typewriter serifs; other voices are unidentified and often misinterpreted. Bong, the former psychiatrist of Deadpool.

Deadpool is described as having a regenerative healing factor, which not only prevents it from permanent injury through increased cell regeneration throughout the body, but also causes psychosis and mental instability, because neurons are also affected by accelerated regeneration. It is estimated that while the psychosis is flawed, they are also one of its assets because they make it a very unexpected opponent. The task-giver, who has a photo-reflexive memory that allows him to copy anyone's fighting skills with observation, is unable to defeat Deadpool for his chaotic and improvised fighting style. The assignor also stated that Deadpool is an expert in diverting his opponents.

The character, known for its talkative nature, has been dubbed "Merc with a Mouth".

Deadpool is sometimes described as having strong core morality. In the Uncanny X-Force , he storms after Wolverine tries to rationalize Fantomex killing the Apocalypse, which at that time is in the form of a child. After Wolverine argued that Deadpool was only motivated by money, Archangel revealed that Deadpool never cashed one of his checks.

Sexual orientation

In December 2013, Deadpool was confirmed as a pansexual by Gerry Duggan's Deadpool writer via Twitter. When asked about the sexuality of Deadpool, co-creator Fabian Nicieza stated, "Deadpool is whatever sexual inclination his brain says he is at that moment, and then the moment passes." Nicieza has also stated,

Not trying to underestimate, but readers always want to 'create their own character' and often it is to rule out what might be a character for other fans. I have been stuffed with DP sexual questions during YEARS. It's a bit tiring. She is NOT sex and ALL gender. He's yours and belonging to someone else. So do not underestimate, but the symbol of inclusiveness.

Strength and ability

Deadpool's main strength is an accelerated healing factor, described by different authors at different levels of efficiency. The speed of the healing factor depends on the severity of the wound and the mental state of Deadpool. It works most efficiently when it is awake, alert, and vibrant. The accelerated healing factor of Deadpool is strong enough that it has survived complete incineration and beheading more than once. Although his head usually has to be reunited with his body to heal the cut of the head behead, he is able to regrow his head after being destroyed by Hulk in the Deadpool novel of the Dead Marlay Universe series.

Deadpool's brain cells are also affected by the same, with dying neurons being rejuvenated at a superfast level. This allowed Deadpool to recover from all the cuts on the head, and it made it almost immune to psychic and telepathic powers, although this ability was inconsistent. It has been revealed that when his healing ability was given to him, Deadpool suffered some form of cancer; after the healing factor is given to him, it keeps normal cells as well as his cancer cells can not die, giving him a very wounded appearance under his jacket.

The body of Deadpool is very resistant to most drugs and toxins, due to its accelerated healing factor. For example, it is very difficult for him to become drunk. It can be affected by certain drugs, such as a sedative if it is exposed to a substantial dose. Unlike Wolverine, the wounds sometimes cause tremendous pain when they recover depending on their severity, Deadpool has some degree of pain sensitivity.

Deadpool is effectively eternal, though he has died several times. He still lives 800 years in the future when the new X-Force meets him. In addition, Thanos once declared that Deadpool should "consider yourself cursed ... with life!" jealous of Deadpool's status as Death's love interest. His enemy, T-Ray, then awakened him, under Thanos's instructions, using the artifacts he had given him. Later, Deadpool was told that Thanos had cursed him, and tracked Thanos. He reveals that the only thing that keeps Wade alive is his "darkest necromancy spell". Though Thanos removes this curse to kill Deadpool, he feels compelled to immediately bring it back using "a combination of necromancy and science" to ask for his help in tracking the Lady of the Death, which has been lost.

Deadpool is a highly trained assassin and mercenary, proficient in various forms of martial arts, exceptional athletes, and swordsmen and expert shooters. His accelerated healing factor can contribute to his ability, allowing him to perform intense exercises for long periods with little pain and fatigue. Although in previous years he was originally portrayed as having superhuman strength, he was no longer depicted as having this ability.

Over the years, Deadpool has had a number of private teleportation devices. Also, during the first Deadpool comic in progress, he has a device that projects holographic masquerade, enabling him to disguise or hide his appearance. He also has a magic bag containing all his unlimited weapons and ammunition. Deadpool is multilingual, with the ability to speak fluently in German, Spanish, ASL, and Japanese, in addition to native English.

Because Deadpool is aware that he is a fictitious character, he uses this knowledge to his advantage to confront an opponent or gain knowledge that he normally should not access, such as reading his comic past and others. For example, Deadpool knows he has a Wikipedia article and hopes his fans keep updating his page.

After Wade, Preston, and Ellie defeat Warda, Wade tells him that he and Shiklah have a life-and-death relationship, but are always on the road to a war that eventually leads to his death, as on Earth, those who refuse to join. there's nothing else (with Wade raising Skrulls to support his point). He implanted Preston into Warda's head so he could help Warda in clearing his consciousness and become a better person and told his daughter that they could both become Deadpool.
